Estudo da funcionalidade de reservas legais em propriedades rurais na Serra da Concórdia, Vale do Paraíba, RJ

Abstract

Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar a funcionalidade de reservas legais em propriedades rurais particulares inseridas no domínio da Mata Atlântica, avaliando os tipos de explorações em que estas estão submetidas; o comportamento temporal da cobertura vegetal através de imagens de satélite e realização de um levantamento fitossociológico. As áreas estudadas localizam-se no município de Valença – RJ. Para análise do comportamento temporal da cobertura vegetal foram utilizadas imagens dos satélites LANDSAT e IKONOS; ambas processadas no software ArcMap 9.0. Para realização do levantamento fitossociológico foram demarcados três transectos medindo 4 x 50 metros. Os cálculos abrangeram todos os parâmetros comumente empregados em levantamentos similares. Foi constatado que apenas uma das propriedades usufrui da área de reserva legal e que houve regeneração e desmatamento em duas das propriedades estudadas entre o período de 1985 e 2002. Todos os proprietários se confundem com os reais conceitos de reserva legal e área de preservação permanente. As espécies que mais se destacaram no levantamento fitossociológico foram Guapira opposita Vell., Anadenanthera colubrina (Vell.) Brenan e Piptadenia gonoacantha (Mart.) J. F. Macbr. A área de reserva legal da propriedade 2 foi a que apresentou maior índice de diversidade Shannon-Weaver (H ́).

This work had as objective evaluates the functionality of forest reserves in private properties inserted in the domain of the Atlantic forest, evaluating the types of explorations in that these are submitted; the temporal behavior of the vegetable covering through satellite images and accomplishment of a floristic inventory. The studied areas are located in the municipal district of Valença - RJ. For analysis of the temporary behavior of the vegetable covering images of the satellites were used LANDSAT and IKONOS images; both processed in the software ArcMap 9.0. For make the floristic inventory three lines were demarcated measuring 4 x 50 meters. The calculations included all commonly of the parameters employed in similar risings. It was verified that just one of the properties enjoyed the forest reserve area and that there were regeneration and deforestation in two of the properties studied among the period of 1985 and 2002. All of the proprietors get confused with the forest reserve concepts and area of permanent preservation. The species more common were Guapira opposita Vell., Anadenanthera colubrina (Vell.) Brenan and Piptadenia gonoacantha (Mart.) J. F. Macbr. The area of legal reserve of the property 2 was the one that presented larger diversity index Shannon-Weaver (H ́).
