Avaliação da densidade, viabilidade e do parasitismo em pupas de Adeloneivaia subangulata (Herrich-Schaffer, 1855) Travassos, 1940 (Lep., Attacidae)

Abstract

The presence of Adeloneivaia subangulata (Len, Attacidae) in stands of black wattle's (Acacia mearnsii de Wild.) in the state aff Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, was recently detected. The objective of this paper is to estimate the population density, viability and degree of infestation of the parasite in the papas. The insect population was sampled in the papal phase, through the“ square method”. The average density was 15,36 +- 1,85 pupas per square meter. The density, viability and parasitism per hectare were 153.667, 123.840 and 22.328 pupas, respectively. Aproximately 14,5% of the pupas collected in the sampling were attacked by Euphorocera floridensis (Dip, Tachinidae).
