Crescimento em altura para Pinus elliottii Engelm originado por diferentes metodos de regeneraçao em Canela, RS

Abstract

Este trabalho teve por objetivos quantificar o crescimento em altura de Pinus elliottií Engelm na região de Canela - RS, comparar o crescimento de árvores originadas de regeneração natural, e de mudas produzidas por regeneração artiñcial; descrever, através de funções matemáticas, o crescimento em altura da espécie segundo a origem da muda. O trabalho foi realizado na Agropecuária Fazenda do Ipê Ltda., localizado no município de Canela - RS, entre as coordenadas 29O 18* latitude Sul e 500 53* longitude Oeste, clima do tipo Cfbl. Os pares de dados altura e idade foram obtidos através da análise de tronco, sendo as árvores amostras de cada tratamento tomadas entre a média e i um desvio padrão, tendo sido amostradas 10 árvores par' tratamento saco plástico, 9 árvores para o tratamento regeneração natural e 11 árvores para o tratamento raiz nua. Através da análise estatística, pode-se concluir que o polinômio do segundo grau descreveu com maior precisão o crescimento de árvores, com 5 anos, originado de mudas produzidas em recipiente saco plástico, raiz nua e de regeneração natural. A comparação entre os tratamentos, feita pela análise de covariância, mostrou que a regeneração natural tem crescimento inicial maior, crescendo 21,85 % a mais que árvores originadas de mudas produzidas em recipientes do tipo saco plástico e 45,62 % mais que raiz nua. This work was aimed at quantifying the height growth of Pinus elliottii Engelm in the region of Canela - RS, comparing the growth of trees originated from natural regeneration and plants produced from artificial regeneratíon, and describing the height growth of the species according to the origin of the plants by means of mathematical functions. The work was accomplished at Agropecuária Fazenda do Ipê, situated in Canela , RS, between the coordinates 290 18* southern latitude and 500 53* western longitude, where dominates a Cfbl-type climate. The height and age data pairs were obtained through the complete trunk analysis, being the sample-trees of each treatment taken between the average and the i' pattern deviation. 10 trees for the plastic bag recipient treatment, 9 for the natural regeneration one, and 11 for the bare rooted one were sampled. Throughout statistical analysis, it could be concluded that a second-degree polynomial described with more precision the growth of 5-year-old trees, originated from plants produced in plastic bag recipient, bare root and natural regeneration. The comparison among the treatments, made by covariance analysis, showed that the natural regeneration has a greater initial growth. It was 21.85 greater than that one of trees originated by plants produced in plastic bag recipient and 45.62 greater than that one bare rooted.
